Camp & Chock is published by Janet Media Group (https://janetmediagroup.com). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What this site is

An independent publication about consumer RV accessories, written for people in their first or second season of travel trailer ownership. It is editorial content and general information.

What this site is not

This matters more than the usual boilerplate, because RVs involve electricity, pressurized water, propane and a heavy trailer on a highway. Specifically, nothing here is:

• Professional or technical advice for your specific rig. We cannot see your trailer. We do not know its age, its wiring, its tongue weight or its condition, and general guidance is not a substitute for someone who can inspect it.
• A towing or weight-distribution specification. Weight distribution and sway control must be matched to your actual tongue weight and tow vehicle. Do not select that equipment from anything written here — have it specified by a qualified dealer or technician.
• An electrical or plumbing diagnosis. If you suspect a fault in your rig or at a campground pedestal, stop and get a qualified person to look at it.
• A safety certification. We do not certify, test, rate or approve any product. Where a product carries a certification, it comes from whoever issued it, not from us.
• A guarantee of outcome. Following guidance here does not guarantee any particular result, and product suitability depends on facts about your situation that we do not have.

You are responsible for the safe operation of your own vehicle and trailer, and for following the manufacturer’s instructions for any product you buy. Always read and follow the documentation that comes with a product; it supersedes anything on this site.

Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously — every page carries a real last-updated date, specifications are cited to manufacturers, and our methodology and its limits are set out on how we choose.

Even so, product specifications change without notice, products are discontinued, and manufacturers revise designs while keeping the same model name. We make no warranty that the content is complete, current or error-free. If you find an error, please tell us — corrections are handled ahead of everything else.

Purchases happen elsewhere

We are not a retailer. Every purchase is a transaction between you and the retailer, under their terms. We are not a party to it, which means we cannot help with orders, shipping, returns, refunds, warranty claims or product defects. Those go to whoever you bought from.

Prices, availability and specifications shown by a retailer are set by that retailer and can change at any time. This site publishes no prices of its own.

Intellectual property

The text, structure and original graphics on this site are the property of Janet Media Group. You are welcome to quote a short excerpt with a link back for the purposes of commentary or review. Republishing whole pages, or using this content to train a model that reproduces it substantially, is not permitted without written permission.

Photographs are licensed stock imagery used under their respective licenses. Product names, brands and logos belong to their owners, and their use here is nominative — it identifies the product and does not imply any endorsement, affiliation or sponsorship in either direction.

We link to retailers, manufacturers and reference sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Janet Media Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of this site or from any product you purchase through it, including damage to a vehicle, trailer or property, or any loss arising from reliance on the content.

The site is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Availability

We make no guarantee that the site will be available without interruption, and we may change, remove or add content at any time without notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
